  • We need to out of the box if Sri Lanka is hoping to emerge as a cricketing great nation again. Those selections of names rather than skills does not do anything. If someone can deliver give them the chance not to selfish players who think they are replaceable. In fact anyone is replaceable even if the experience isn’t and that is exactly why we as a nation should give a chance to the bench because they need experience. Just move on with who can deliver that is the policy in any other country.

  • Good to see Malinga back yes
Good to see Malinga back yes I was questioning his ability as well. But this is what happens when you commit yourself strongly which he did. See how fitter he is now and I hope to see Mathews to come back fit soon. Please get our batting line up fixed I feel sorry for Tharanga but isn’t it about time that we should look at more technical correctness than dash learn from other counties like England and Australia do not blame all rounders like Thisara and Shanaka they cannot handle pressure when they have to play like openers when they were exposed to do so Tharanga is not a technically correct opener and Dickwella should bat down the order and we can shed one spinner and add another batsman because Dhananjaya can bowl few overs. Give Dimuth a chance and get back Thirimanne and Asela into the squad before world cup. Hopefully Dhanushka will be able to shed his other issues aside and come back soon as well

  • I agree with those selections
I agree with those selections of course if we are to go ahead towards any successful future otherwise we will be the next Zimbabwe or Windies for that matter. My only question is Mathews he should not be even considered if he doesn’t show any form during domestic tournaments. I think he is the main reason why players like Asela has not being given a chance as he knows Asela is the main threat to him in the middle order. Captaincy for him is out of the question Chandi or even Suranga are better than him. They may not fluent in English like Anjelo but Inzamam had very little English when he captained Pakistan but what a good player he was.
