Sri Lankan batsman Kusal Mendis has strained his ankle during a training session at Port Elizabeth earlier today ahead of the second Test match against South Africa.
SLC sources said Mendis’ participation doubtful for the second Test match against South Africa as a result of the injury.
There is a possibility that Angelo Perera will replace Mendis in the second match in which Sri Lanka will look to secure a series victory.
Mendis’ performance, however, has been below par during the recently concluded tour to Australia and in the first Test against South Africa.
Great news good for Angelo Perera we know he is a talented technically perfect in form experience batsman who knows will grab this opportunity with both hands solve a Batting spot.
All the Very Best Angelo Perera
If only Upul Tharanga was in the squad to save us and be our savior… ;P #upulforever
Great news, Angelo Perera have to show his skills! Last chance for him.
What are the chances SL will play Kaushal Silva ahead of Perera?
