exactly the 11 i had in mind

this guy banuka rajapakse should be in the playing 11, when i saw him playing felt like he was the most talented out of the entire lot.

we could go on and on lets end this good luck to your buddy vandersay or who ever youre backing as well

he never batted at 4 or 5 (to the best of my knowledge,didnt look up the stats) may be at 6 on a few occasion, but mostly at 7 or 8. More than the position the point im trying to make is, when we needed some quick runs he was sent out.so its really unfair to compare his stats with another batsman.An Indian middle order batsman may have better figures than dhoni, doesnt necesarily mean they are better than him.(not saying jeewan is a DHONI)

about his balling , i said “in case” he goes for 15,20 more runs considering the worst case scenario. There have been many occasions where he got more wickets and gave away less runs than our specialized ballers.

In all most all the matchs he got to bat ,he batted at 7 or 8 towards the end of the innings with a few overs to go which means he had to go for risky shots or else if a wicket falls during a powerplay or we had wickets in hand and wanted to up the run rate, this guy was sent out to the middle to do the big hitting (risky hitting) thats alright from teams perspective but how fair is it for you to compare his averages and scores with a middlle order batsman who gets to play a safe, long inning and say he has only 1 50+ score.He might only have 1 half century to his name , he has played some pretty impressive knocks at the death.

@Hit-Wicket Agreed that he might not be as good as vandersay, but j mendis is a quality batsman not just some bits and pieces player, in case he gives away too many runs he can make up for it when batting.On the other hand vandersay has played 21 mtchs, I dont recall him doing anything significant either

all in all this is a good squad, id really like to see jeewan mendis who is a quality allrounder, balls a wrongun thats hard to pick and a genuine batsman as well, much better than our so called specialized spinners. Another player i want to see in the playing 11 is Bhanuka rajapakse (and yes not just in the 15 man squad) allthough its less likely to happen

a good lineup overall but where the hell is isuru udana and i would go for a player like jeewan mendis over milinda, not that hes bad , mathews,asela,jeewan/milinda along with isuru would be a greath lower order and maybe dananjaya in place of dimuth
