  • What? Kamidu is a failed cricketer? Are you even watch cricket. In t20 in his debut he scored 40 off 20 balls against a bowling line up featuring Steyn,Rabada,Tahir, and possibly Shamsi at the age of 21 while all the other batters fail. In second match also he scored 3o with a good strike rate. Then he was dropped because he failed in ODIs where all the other batters also failed most of time .Then again after just 2 chances in low scoring WI matches he was dropped. He also has a FC average of almost 60 which proves he is solid batman. He should have walked into SL team just after u19 WC. He should be considered as a batman.Bowling is just a bonus.
THen Avishka has played 30+ T20I without playing single good inning yet you select him.
DHanjaya Lakshan should be tested as an opener in this series. otherwise we have to go for Chandi. But I highly doubt whether he will be successful in t20.
Wanidu is wasted at 8.He should be used as a floater to attack spinners in middle overs.

  • This is not out of the box, thinking rather a tried and rather stupid pseudo strategic analysis.
Kamindu never really failed and even if he did he was 21 when he played, He is in the team as a batsman, and he is better than what Sahan Aarachci can ever be as a batsman. And we don’t need any bits and pieces bowlers to roll their arms over. Chandimal literally has one of the worst T20i records in the world. He may get a 20 ball 100 in the domestic final but still shouldn’t be anywhere near an international team.
Nuwan Thushara, Ishan Jayaratne, Lahiru Madushanka are nowhere near international level, Lahiru may get a place as a batting all rounder,

Finally I am not the biggest fan, but Kalu and Pramodya have won a world cup much more than people like you (and all the so called recent ‘legends and seniors who get laughed off by the whole world) can even dream about.

  • This is not a personal vendetta or a targeted campaign. Pramodya has put the nails on Sri Lanka Crcket coffin period. He openly commented on public television that Malinga was asked to do 2 km and Malinga confirmed this on his youtube channel too.

Your right if his parh is to destroy cricket he is doing those activities correctly.

Sad fact is that his failed methods will be exposed in the upcoming months , but then the damages will be permanent and Sri lanka cricket would have moved from ICU to the Morgue

  • This is a totally irrational article probably a personal grudge. What did the the seniors he mention here did in the WI recently ? Not only they lost 3/0 but got two negative points being tardy on the field. Mathew returned back home on his usual tactics citing personal reasons literally for the umpteenth time The problems are due to the contract issue which is not Pramodaya’s fault. In fact Pramodaya wants bring back Malinga but it is the seniors who oppose it! I also not in agreement to change the captaincy from Kusal to Dasun but it also looks a board decision where Dasun gave away his colleagues for the greed of captaincy post. Parmodaya is not the right path but those whose interests are hurt because of the changes he made are going on slinging mud at him. We know a lot of agents & managers are on the senior camp so no surprises they use the social media to disperse incorrect information on Pramodaya & SLC.

  • So we are back to one of our favorite administration strategies – shoot ourselves in the foot! AKA sack the coach for national administration failures and make a hefty termination package which ironically was signed by the administrators!

Here are some of facts. We can appoint any coach but will be stone last – the problem is not the coach but being unable to see what the problem is, the focus is on the coach. Even guys like Dilshan and Sanath are still on about the coach – incase you missed it, the main problem is the administration and politicians.

Another fact – some of the best players in the world are not good coaches and vice versa – some of the best coaches were not actually good players. It’s a joke to keep referring to Flowers bating record to ascertain if he is a good batting coach. Flower cannot fix technical issues that first class cricket should fix.
