The main hurdle Sri Lankan team have in front of them is whether they are capable enough to compete with the No. 1 ODI team in the world.
In the 1st ODI Sri Lankan team showed that they are capable enough from bowling and fielding departments however batting has been a nightmare throughout the tour.
The partnership between Kusal & Hasaranga in the 1st ODI gave a glimpse of a hope of a big score but it faded away when both got out.
For the 2nd ODI we should bring back Dhananjaya De Silva and Oshada Fernando (if they are available) to provide stability in the middle order and we need a third seamer in the side to have a wicket taking option available during the middle overs. For the third seamer it should be either Asitha Fernando or Nuwan Pradeep.
