Modi mints money via Mauritious - IPL
April 22, 2010 - 19:03
It's a Modi maze and it's spread across the globe. At the centre is Lalit Modi, IPL Commissioner, controlling the game and who has the right to participate. Modi's many arms seem to lead to mainly friends and family.
Kings XI Punjab: Ness Wadia, Preity Zinta, Lalit Modi together make a firm set of friends. A closer look at the stake holding of the Punjab team shows that Modi has a proxy presence. Mohit Burman, Director of Dabur India has a 11 per cent stake through Windy Investment. Mohit's brother, Gaurav, who is also Modi's step son-in-law holds 23 per cent through Colway Investment.

Wow! So his family held contracts for TV deals, Websites, etc for the IPL. Something still tells me that he will get off the hook. He has friends in high places.
