I hope all the clowns at SLC board learn from England and build a team for the 2023 WC as of now! We are in the same position England were in 2015, so it’s more than possible to do the same, especially since the 2023 WC is India (Similar to home conditions).
But something deep down tells me that this won’t happen because corruption is hard-cored into our DNA and our batch of young players are incredibly unprofessional both on and off the field!
Just look at our current young players that are likely to be apart of that 2023 WC: Kusal Mendis, D De Silva, Dickwella, Gunathilaka, Sadeera, Vandersay, Avishka, Sandakan, Dasun Shanaka, Chameera. Funnily enough, these 10 or so players are all part of a drinking, partying, immature, showing-off culture that is incredibly disappointing! I seriously hope that either our cricket board can discipline them or that they either grow up and start playing for their country instead of going on shopping and holiday trips every 2-3 months using the general public’s money!
Grow the fuck up you bunch of tarts!
