Chamindu Wickramasinghe 102 as Sri Lanka U19 beat Bangladesh U19 for 5-nil clean sweep

Chamindu Wickramasinghe struck a superb 102 inclusive of 10 boundaries and 3 sixes enabling Sri Lanka U19 to defeat Bangladesh U19 by 4 runs in the final Youth International between the two countries that went down to the wire in the fifth and final match at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Monday. It gave Sri Lanka U19 a comprehensive 5-nil triumph.

In a series that the Bangladeshis were completely outplayed, Sri Lanka U19 totaled 240 for 9 in their allotted 50 overs wiuth Wickramasinghe leading the way followed by a fine 59 by Shevon Daniel.

Bangladesh made a contest of it stretching the game to the wire as the Lankan bowlers had to draw on all reserves to pull off the nail biter. Mahfijul Islam top scoresd for the visiting team with 62 followed by Aich Mollah’s 55 and Prantik Nabil 33 and Iftikher Hossain 32.
