Neither was I replying to your comment. I was posting my opinion to The forum debate topic “If sangakkara is the best batsman ever”. Still I do, You found many mistakes and missed One important point in my previous comment. Did I mention lara there for his Flamboyance?. Even If I agree About the batting averages of above 45 or 50 whatever as said,There are many other aspects that make a player the best. the period with with which you compare sanga is shorter than Sachin’s career. Remember Sachin Made his International debut at the age of 16 against the might of Bowlers like Wasim Akram,Imran khan,Abdul khadir and the list of great bowlers he faced in his teenage went on. Sachin maintained a test batting average not less than 52 right through for 24 years ie; from the age 16 to 40 (He had an average of 56-58 in 2005-2006 after playing for 15+years). He was a child pridigy. Sanga is not even the Best ever left handed batsman ever(considering Brian lara), he comes in the ‘good’ category not the ‘great’.

  • @Ups_RF : It was supposed to
@Ups_RF : It was supposed to be Sangakkara averages 43.94 whereas Sachin and Gavaskar averaged 50+ OUTSIDE ASIA. Pardon me for the mistake in the previous comment. And if it is about Batting averages while batting in away matches in subcontinent Virender sehwag has an average of 79. Does that make him the greatest batsman ever played the game?. Sangakkara is a good batsman But neither he is as Flamboyant as a Brian lara or as consistent as Tedulkar or Gavaskar(In 27 tests against the West Indies, Gavaskar scored an almost unbelievable 2749 runs at an average of 65.45, with an astonishing 13 centuries which no other Batsmen were able to do at that time against the fierce westindian bowlers.). Many other players come ahead of sanga in the race to be the best batsmen ever.
