For the past 6 or 7 years Mubarak was not given a chance of even playing at A team level. Selectors did right to give him a chance – but should have done so earlier. He may be closing in on 34 – a ripe old age in this part of the world but not so in cricket playing countries elsewhere – but if he is fit and proves himself why not?
