  • we need a genuine quick
we need a genuine quick bowler to support malinga but who do we have like that at the moment? if there is no one else that fit the criteria its better to go with dilhara and tell him to just bang the ball hard, ( no worries with no balls here), i still believe murali will be effective at test level, so whose going to be our second spinner? mendis i think would be a giant waste of time! is it too early to put randiv in to the team? personally i don’t think so. i think he should be in the team. whose going to open with dilshan? paranawithana or warnapura? may the best man wins! also is it too early to get in chandimal as the wicket keeper? what do u guys think?

  • its ridiculous to say we lost
its ridiculous to say we lost the match because of the conditions, though it was obvious that batting second was difficult the batsmen should have done better. for a start their shot selection could have been much better. if the ball is bouncing and moving the thing to do is play close to the body and play with a straight bat, weather the early storm and then look for runs. but that never happened. loosing 5 wickets for 50 odd runs at home is humiliating. any one can do well when everything goes your way, to come up on top when things are against you, that needs character! and frankly, our players haven’t shown that for a long time!

  • the best way for sri lankan
the best way for sri lankan players to participate in the IPL is to make a team from sri lanka and get in to the IPL, we don,t need a bollywood actor or an actress to b the manager of our team, do we?

  • yeah, a living god until he
yeah, a living god until he plays! if he was an indian and failed the way he did the last few years they would have burnt his house down and thrown stones when ever they saw him, he could have been a fallen god!

  • test series is going to b a
test series is going to b a disaster, it’ll probably be a whitewash to india, anywho after the world cup all the so called senior players must go, sanga, mahela, dilshan, murali, all of them! we should start with a young team with the likes of kapugedara, mathews, randiv, chandimal, thisara perera and so on and mould a team aiming the 2015 world cup, we may loose matches but we are already doing it in heaps now, so thats nothing new,

  • lets look at the batting line
lets look at the batting line up of the 96 world cup winning team,
    1. sanath ( but please don’t say bring him back! his times up)
    2. kalu
    3. gurusinghe
    4. aravinda
    5. arjuna
    6. roshan
    7. hashan
    8. dharmasena

seven quality batsmen with one very capable all rounder! when will we ever get another batting line up like this?

  • mendis isn’t the only 1 that
mendis isn’t the only 1 that should be dropped, upul tharanga should make way for chandimal or some1 els, we need a technically correct solid player like marvan 2 open with dilshan if we want 2 make some impact in the world cup.and frankly, i think its time for mahela 2 leave 2, anywho, this world cup is a goner! we had four years 2 come up with a team that can win matches in our own conditions, the world cup is just around the corner and we still don’t have an established team, the team lacks an opener 2 support dilshan, lacks a genuine quick bowler to support malinga. if dilshan, sanga and mahela fails we rarely win a match. At the moment sri lanka can, without a dought, beat bangladesh, zimbabwe and west indies. All other teams, it’s a challenge! so kiss this world cup goodbye and focus on 2015!
