Ramesh mendis looks promising specially in the shorter version of the game. He is similar to washinton sundar in India who bowls very tidy off-spins with a high arm action. He can be used in the power plays and capable of scoring some runs in the middle order as well (athough he didn’t get much opportunities to show his batting skills in the LPL)

In bowling, Nuwan Pradeep should come in for Rajitha.

Rajitha is very talented , but he needs to improve his death bowling skills

Avishka Fernando and kamindu mendis performed well in asia emerging cup as well.so they should be given a chance although not
sure how they will fare in seaming conditions.

Neither jeewan nor wanidu are wicket taking options. So I think vandesay is the only viable option at the moment though he is also not in the calibre of chahal Tahir or Rashid.

Fast bowling seems to be the main concern as non of the pacies in current set are capable of challenging the top class batters

Dammika Prasad has started playing again domestic matches and if he is managed properly , can be used for the next year s word cup
