I think all our players (batters as well as bowlers) must have a basic knowledge on Pitch Mechanics or at least know what are the adjustments they should make in their bowling or batting to improve their performance levels in UAE pitches which are totally different to SL pitches. It is very unfortunate that we cannot see these matches. I personally had some experience (when I was working in Dubai as a Professional Soils Specialist) on having some discussions with Andy Atkins (ICC Pitch Consultant and SLC CEO Ajith J / Nishantha in 2010) on Cricket Pitch issues in SL. I am preparing an article to Island Cricket re UAE Pitch Issue which will definitely help our bowlers. In simple terms This is what they should do:
Fast Bowlers: Try to bowl more yoker length or close to full length deliveries wkt to wkt (deliver at batters knee to chest height) If Lahiru can bowl at 145+ he will be very effective. Even Chameera at 140+ he can deceive many batters.

Wanindu and Theekshana have to bowl little quicker and depend mainly on variations and bounce (to a lesser extent on the turn). But I personally think Akila bowling speed is very slow and will be an easy target for every power hitter to score sixes as he is also not accurate and erratic on his line.
