Although Malinga has taken only 3 wickets in 8 matches he maintained the second best Economy Rate in the tournament (ref to the following link). Maintaining an Economy rate of 7.92 (which gives a team total of only 80 runs) is an excellent achievement in T 10 format. All the other main strike bowlers had ER of more than 10.0 in the tournament.

On the other hand, although Lahiru Kumara took 11 wickets (second best in the tournament) he is not in the above list as his economy rate was very high ( 12.43) as shown below. Probably he was bowling at very high speeds with less accuracy where the batsmen were able to deflect the ball from the bat in scoring more sixes. This is some area he has to improve his bowling during the coming months. Hope our new fast bowling coach will work on his weakness of the accuracy in line and length.
