  1. Action looks clean Stormy? But his straight one will be easily picked by international players. He says he has four or five variations. Ball can only turn two ways. No point having somlanh variations. Need to be able to bowl off spin well first. Shocked when Mahela sped up the career of a net bowler who was throwing (Akila). We cant expect them to weed out chuckers in Sri Lanka. Even our former great players are blinded by patriotism and they wont honestly accept that Sri Lankan bowlers will chuck.

  2. The first thing I expect from a new spinner is the ability to spin the ball. I am yet to see anyone who interest me. Not even this guy. I see so many orthodox left armers coming through but I doubt anyone can survive at international level. M. Pushpakumara can take 10 wickets against clubs but he couldn’t get much against England tells where they are at. So SLC should focus on the players who can turn the ball and let them develop the other stuff. Coaching staff should take the responsibility to monitor the actions of these players. Sometimes we fans can tell whether it’s clean or not but wonder why those coaching staff can’t pick them up.
