The biggest challenge for Oshada is the selectors either dropping him for Thirimane or moving him around the batting order till he loses confidence and then dropping him for loss of form (and then recalling Thirimane). We saw this guy on his debut series in SA against a potent pace attack on SA, but despite a good performance, he was dropped for both test and one dayers while Thiri remained!
Dilruwan had a poor series but it’s not like the other spinners were getting a load of wickets. All spinners struggled to impact the series and Dilruwan looked meek and at 34, he needs to be effective before the inevitable will come calling.
