Sri Lanka score 291/6 against West Indies in U19 Cricket World Cup – 3rd Place Play-offs

28 January 2010, (islandcricket.lk): Sri Lanka finished their 50 overs in the third place play-offs at the ICC U19 World Cup with an imposing 291/6.

Denuwan Rajakaruna, playing in his first game of the tournament, was the top scorer for Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan selectors had opted to play Andri Berenger as the Keeper-Batsman right through the group stages, quarter final, and the semi final. But Berenger had a very poor run with the bat averaging just 16.20 in five games and missed chances behind the wicket.
