Sri Lanka follow on after being dismissed for 229

Sri Lanka were bowled out for 229 in their 1st innings in the second Test match against India at Kanpur and have been asked to follow on.

India lead by 413 runs, which is the biggest 1st innings lead in all previous Test match encounters between the two teams.

Indian opening bowler Shanthakumaran Sreesanth finished with 5/75.

For Sri Lanka, Mahela Jayawardena’s 47 runs was the highest individual score.
