The Sri Lanka A team and New Zealand A, who are currently on tour in England, will play each other in a 50-over fixture on Saturday and will feature in a triangular series involving hosts England A, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced in a change to the previously published itinerary.

New Zealand A and Sri Lanka A will now meet in a 50-over tour match at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff on August 2.

The fixture replaces the match between Warwickshire and New Zealand A and the Glamorgan vs Sri Lanka A fixture, which were due to take place this Saturday at Edgbaston and Cardiff respectively.

The change was agreed with New Zealand Cricket and Sri Lanka Cricket after Glamorgan and Warwickshire qualified for the NatWest T20 Blast quarter-finals and it became clear that neither county would be able to field a full-strength side in their tour matches.

Tri-series schedule:

August 5 – New Zealand A v Sri Lanka A at Taunton

August 6 – England A v Sri Lanka A at Taunton

August 8 – England A v New Zealand A at Bristol

August 9 – New Zealand A v Sri Lanka A at Bristol

August 11- England A v Sri Lanka A at Worcester

August 12 – England A v New Zealand A at Worcester
