  1. What ever comments given by our U 19 coach and captain that we have a strong team for this tournament, above performance shows that SL are lacking in one important aspect of the white ball game (ODI) with U 19 players. When we need to score at 7/8 RPO situations the team must have one or two batsman who can hit sixes (power hitters) regularly to achieve such high RRs. Not only U 19 team, even in our Development Squad, Emerging teams such batsmen are not groomed in SL. Our National team has only two of them (Bhanuka and Dasun) but both are 28 years. India, Australia, England and even BD have discovered many young batsmen in the age groups of 18 to 24 yrs and they are playing in international tournaments and are performing well. SL has a big vacuum on Power Hitting young batsmen under 25 years. This will be a big drawback in our white ball games (both ODI and T20) .
