Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team took 2-0 lead in the five-match Youth ODI series thrashing Sri Lanka by a huge 161-run in the 3rd match at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Thursday.
The Young Tigers beat the Islanders Sri Lanka by 5 wickets in the 2nd match at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna last Monday as the first match was abandoned at due to cyclonic storm Bulbul at the same venue last Saturday.
Here comes the latest news on another humiliating defeat for SL cricket. This time it is our young cricketers beaten so badly by BD. BD has taken un unbeatable lead of 2 – 0 in the 5 match series.
Where is our cricket talent although all our coaches and chief selector always talk highly of our cricket talents of all ages that SL is full of talented cricketers.
Another bad news is on the way. Yesterday our Emerging Team also lost their first match (in Asia Cup Tournament) to Oman. Once again it was the failure of the batsmen. Same problem with coaching. Vaas who was a fast bowler is the head coach. Our batsmen are not coached by a batting coach either.
These results are good enough for us to assume one thing. These SLC administrators & coaches are trying to fool all of us. As I said earlier as long as past fast bowler’s holding the most responsible head coach positions, our batsmen will never perform well in future. They should not be holding any head coach position if there is no batting coach to guide the batsmen.
I think Harin (Sports Minister) has to come forward and do some worthy changes like replacing SLC’s incompetent Chief Selector and every SL coaches holding coaching assignments on an area where they are unable to guide our batsmen.
