Why MCC President Kumar Sangakkara is backing Jaffna Stallions in LPL

The T20 Lankan Premier League has got off to a flyer with one team in particular catching the eye of MCC President Kumar Sangakkara.

Sangakkara is following the tournament closely, but clearly has a soft spot for Jaffna Stallions, owned by a consortium including British businessman Brindon Bagirathan, a Harley Street clinic owner who has helped a number of England cricketers with a variety of hair follicle issues.

The Jaffna Stallions got up and running with an eight wicket win against Shahid Afridi’s Galle Gladiators on Friday and have Nottinghamshire’s Tom Moores in their lineup.
