Melbourne Suburban cricketer charged with stealing $250k meant for international cricket stars

Navishta Desilva, 35, is accused of taking $250,000 intended for 10 international players to participate in local competitions, allegedly siphoning the money from his employer’s bank account over more than a year.

Navishta Desilva, 35, from Doncaster, faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday charged with 19 theft- and deception-related offences.
