Upcoming Sri Lankan cricketers to play club cricket in Australia

Upcoming Sri Lankan cricketers will play club cricket in Australia starting this year after an agreement was signed between Sri Lanka Cricket and Dandenong District Cricket Association.

Starting from this year, 08 Emerging Cricketers of Sri Lanka will get an opportunity to play Club Cricket in Australia, following an MOU, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) entered into with Dandenong District Cricket Association Inc. (DDCA) of Australia.

Under the MOU, DDCA will facilitate SLC to field a selected group of Sri Lankan Emerging Cricketers in the Australian Cricket Clubs, during a full cricket season, which spans from October to March, every year.

According to the MOU, DDCA will find Clubs for the Lankan players, whilst the host club will provide the player with club membership, accommodation, club apparel, transportation to attend training and matches and also a weekly incidental allowance.
