Sri Lanka seek light amidst dark times

Since the retirements of Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene, Sri Lanka have stumbled on many occasions and there doesn’t seem to be a window of hope in the tunnel of darkness.

  1. Series wins against Bangladesh and SA and a drawn series against the Windies was all good and the loss to NZ was always on. Just cannot accept a 0-3 loss to England at home whose spinners out spun our batters. Eng also came with clear tactics which were will executed and credit to them but we were poor and caught out. The limited over year has been a total disaster with no hope in sight. Finally, there are signs we are atleast playing aggressive batters who may give us hope but the limited overs bowling attack is as effective as a tennis ball attack in school!
