Sri Lanka is supposed to be the centre for Theravada Buddhism. However it is humiliating to the country when its cricket board organize cricket matches on Wesak days, the most important day for Buddhists.It is not difficult to arrange a day later with a friendly cricket board if it so desired.The same happens with Poson days too when the matches are played even at home. I wonder why any Buddhist organization or a leader does not take up this matter seriously with the SLC.
