Sri Lanka complete clinical series sweep with 122-run victory

An abject riposte to Sri Lanka’s imposing 294 for 8 ensured the hosts completed a 3-0 series sweep over Bangladesh in Colombo on Wednesday. Having already sealed their first home series win in 44 months in the second ODI, Sri Lanka went ahead and crushed Bangladesh for the third time – this time by 122 runs – courtesy a complete performance.

Angelo Mathews capped off the series with 187 runs – including an 87 in the third game – while contributions from Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis and Dasun Shanaka added to Sri Lanka’s strong first-half finish.
