South Africa choked with the bat in the first T20I against Sri Lanka. In what should have been a cakewalk for the home team, the Proteas ended up subjecting themselves to immense pressure.

Still it’s the time for experimenting for the final line up for the WC Squad. So instead of playing recently not performed new players I think we need to give more opportunities to the experienced and deserved players to iron out their mistakes. So I would play Dickwella and Sadeera as openers. Both are aggressive wkt keeper batsmen. Dickwella has some mistakes/flaws in his batting technique (as well as keeping) that need to be corrected. Otherwise he has a super performance record on batting during the last 12 months. It will also be a good idea to allow both Sadeera and Dickwella to keep in the same match (10 overs each). I will play Dhananjaya and Kamindu both together as there’s going to be a competition for the no 6 position place between them. According to the current form Kamindu is a better prospect. So lets give a chance to Dhananjaya to improve his scoring rates, which has been so slow and not ideal for a batting all rounder who bats at no 6 position.
Agree. Also 2 players who Sri Lanka haven’t experimented for the world cup are Roshen Silva and Asela Gunaratne. If Angelo Mathews bats at 4, we can bat Roshen at 5, Angelo Perera at 6 and Gunaratne at 7. That’s the middle order for the world cup in my opinion.
