Hmm…interesting move. I think this is ok, besides the fact we desperately need some top order batting, both Kusal and Gunathileke had good SLPL and the next t20 WC is this year. The concern with decreasing punishment is sending the wrong message for what was clearly the wrong thing on part of the 3 players but I think the point has been made (they missed the WC for crying out aloud).
