Six off penultimate ball over from Sri Lanka saves NZ from elimination at Under-19 World Cup

Kristian Clarke’s six off the penultimate ball snatched a dramatic last-over win for New Zealand over Sri Lanka at the Under-19 Cricket World Cup to all but secure a quarterfinal berth in South Africa.

The young Kiwis seemed in control chasing 243 for victory after opener Rhys Mariu’s 86 and 26 was needed from the final 18 balls when captain Jesse Tashkoff and Beckham Wheeler-Greenall were at the crease having shared 59 for the fourth wicket in Bloemfontein.
