Public call for inquiry into four cricketers

Following revelations by former cricket great Muttiah Muralidaran, the Sunday Observer received several telephone calls demanding that Sri Lanka Cricket conduct a thorough investigation into the conduct of four players who led an unsuccessful revolt over pay while drastically influencing the juniors to fall in line. Muralidaran also implicated an unnamed lawyer.

In the television interview aired on Hiru TV, Muralidaran named two of the four players as former captains Angelo Mathews and Dimuth Karunaratne as been the ring leaders behind the pay row that disrupted preparations…
