Pramodya Wickramasinghe likely to be next Sri Lanka chief selector – report

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Thursday (29) has sent five names to the Ministry of Youth and Sports for its consideration for filling two vacant slots of the three-member National Cricket (Senior) Selection Committee.

The outgoing members are its former Head Ashantha de Mel, who resigned from the post last week, and Chaminda Mendis.

The remaining member, Pramodya Wickramasinghe, nicknamed “Pramo”, is likely to be appointed as Head of the new selectors, Sports Ministry sources revealed on Friday (29).

The four names that have been sent by the SLC to the Ministry are Hemantha Wickramaratne, Kapila Wijegunawardena, Romesh Kaluwitharana, and Waruna Waragoda.
