  1. It’s the biggest surprise that Bhanuka Rajapaksa who performed exceptionally well in Pakistan is rejected and not even considered for the Premier Category where as Sadeera and Angelo Perera who didn’t do well are included. It looks like Bhanuka is getting the same stepmother’s treatment again from SLC,. Previously he was deprived of playing for SL for nearly 9 years due to wrong reasons on selection criteria by the selectors.

This discrimination of SLC must be stopped. If Bhanuka performs well in Australia I am sure he will be taken for a T20 league by some other country, and that will start the process of SL losing another bright prospect due to SLC’s discrimination policies.

I think Bhanuka should have been included in the Premier Category at the same or little lower salary as of Wanidu. Also Pathum Nissanka & Kamidu Mendis deserved to be included for the same category but at a lower salary. Other rejections noted are reasonable as they haven’t produced any worthwhile performance recently.
