Naveed Nawaz: A forgotten man basking in belated glory

The unprecedented world cup win by the Bangladesh youth team coached by Naveed Nawaz recently rightly threw him to the spotlight. For years Indian youth teams have been a very difficult opposition to beat and it’s an achievement to savour for the Bangladeshis.

Though belated, Nawaz richly deserves the glory that comes with victories such as these after decades of being in the shadows, first as a player, then as a coach.
