Sports and Youth Minister Namal Rajapaksa yesterday expressed confidence of Sri Lanka cricket bouncing back.

He said past captains including Arjuna Ranatunga would be consulted on how to revive Sri Lanka cricket, especially at provincial and school level.

He said a discussion on future steps would be held at meeting between President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and SLC’s Technical and Advisory Committee, headed by former Sri Lanka captain Aravinda de Silva, the selectors and the SLC Executive Committee, in the near future.

  1. Why doesn’t he fix the problem by changing the constitution of SLC – we all know everything else matters little as long as SLC is controlled by 140+ votes. It’s the starting point for fixing the problem, the next step is take the Politian’s and get out of cricket.
