Met Office forecasts downpours for Pakistan vs Sri Lanka Cricket World Cup match

The agency is predicting heavy downpours on Friday, June 7 – which could see cricket fans left disappointed.

Thousands of people are due to watch Pakistan take on Sri Lanka at Bristol County Ground on June 7, but if current forecasts are correct the match could be a washout.

The Met Office forecast shows a 90 per cent chance of heavy rain from 7am to 1pm, with the chance rising to 95 per cent at times.

Things do improve throughout the afternoon – although not by much. From 1pm to 4pm there is between a 60 and 70 per cent chance of heavy rain.
