I think this is a great idea, considering the fact that Nuwan Thushara is in the squad. One of the weaknesses in Thushara’s bowling (as we saw in the recent matches his percentage of wide deliveries was very high) is controlling the line of his deliveries due to his square arm action. Malinga is the only fast bowling coach who can correct this mistake. It will also be the best scenario to do that when he is bowling in faster pitches in Australia (rather than on slow wickets in SL). Although majority of the executive committee members are not supporting Malinga’s assignment, Mahela has used his super technical coaching abilities to appoint Malinga as a Consultant Fast Bowling coach. Hats off to Mahela for his great work.
