  1. I would not know whether it is the right decision of Malinga to have high hopes for the WC captain’s position. We all know that the main problem with our ODI team is the batsmen’s failures. In a such situation I would not think it will be the wise thing to appoint a bowler captain. Even during the 8 ODI and T20 matches played in South Africa one wonder whether Malinga was able to help or give any useful advise or tips to our failing batsmen and improve the standard of our batting. If we had a batting captain definitely things would have improved up to a certain extent.

My other worry is I would not know whether De Mel being another fast bowler has any belief in this kind of theory. However I strongly believe that WE MUST HAVE A BATTING CAPTAIN AND NOT A BOWLING CAPTAIN and Mathews is most suitable for the captain’s position. Lets see what is in our selector’s minds.!!
