Indian Legends’ positive Covid tests force Sri Lanka government to send their legends into self-quarantine

Former Sri Lankan cricketers who returned home after the Road Safety World Series have been sent into quarantine due to the posiitve Covid cases of their Indian counterparts.

The positive Covid tests of Indian legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Irfan Pathan, S Badrinath and Yusuf Pathan, who all participated in the Road Safety World Series, sent chills down the spine of Indian cricket lovers. The development has now forced the Sri Lanka government to put their former cricketers who participated in the same tournament into self-quarantine.

Tendulkar was the first one to break the big news on social media while other Indian legends followed. The Master Blaster has since been quarantined at home, having experienced mild symptoms.

“I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure Covid is kept at bay. However, I’ve tested positive today following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative. I’ve quarantined myself at home and am following all the necessary protocols as advised by my doctors. I want to thank all the healthcare professionals who are supporting me and many others across the country. Take care all of you,” Tendulkar had tweeted.
