Former captains to lodge complaint

Sri Lanka became the first Asian nation to pass legislation relating corruption in sports. Hence, a special police team – Sports Investigation Unit attached to the Sports Ministry is responsible for keeping sport clean.

A section of the new legislation deals with false allegations on match fixing which lead to a three year imprisonment if proven guilty in court.
