The National Sports Selection Committee has written to Sri Lanka’s Sports Ministry informing that it has rejected the names proposed by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) for National Cricket Selectors. In a letter to the ministry, the National Sports Selection Committee has pointed out that there are more suitable candidates for the posts. According to Sports Ministry sources, Sri Lanka Cricket had nominated the name of current cricket selectors headed by Pramodya Wickremesinghe and several other former cricketers.
