England Young Lions sign off with consolation win

England Young Lions ended their tour of Sri Lanka with a consolation 48-run win in the fifth and final Under-19 ODI played at the SSC grounds yesterday.

England off-spinner Tom Prest returned career best figures of 6/41 to dismiss Sri Lanka for 166 in reply to England’s score of 214/8 built on opener William Luxton’s well-paced innings of 84* off 119 balls (four fours, one six) before being forced to retire hurt with cramps.
