British High Commission solves visa issue for Sri Lanka Under-19 cricketers

Several players had their U.S. visa applications rejected and the tour to West Indies, where the team was to fly via the States, was in jeopardy until now.

The British High Commission came to Sri Lanka Cricket’s aid by granting visas to five of the under 19 cricketers to travel to the West Indies via UK.

Sri Lanka Cricket secretary Mohan de Silva confirmed yesterday that the British High Commission had granted the visas to the five players and that they will travel with under 19 head coach Hashan Tillakaratne on Friday to the Caribbean.
