Avishka, Chamika, Chameera star as SL beat Bangladesh by 4 wickets

Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by four wickets in the 1st Warm up match played ahead of ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

Batting first Bangladesh scored 147 for the loss of 7 wickets with Soumya Sarkar top scoring with 34 runs. For Sri Lanka Dushmantha Chameera bagged 3 wickets for 26 runs.

Chasing the target, Sri Lanka lost the plot by losing too many wickets in the middle overs and were at deep trouble at 75/6. Joining Avishka Fernando in the middle, Chamika Karunartne rescued Sri Lanka and their unbeaten partnership took Sri Lanka home with an over to spare. Avishka top scored with 62 runs while Chamika scored 29 runs.

  1. Important match for Sri Lanka. A win here would really boost our confidence a lot cause Bangladesh is a good strong team and have beaten Sri Lanka in recent times as well. The team should play this match as if it was a super 12 match. Take this seriously!
