Bangladesh openers start well after Mathews’ 199 helps SL to 397

Angelo Mathews fell short of a double century by just one run in the final session of Day 2 as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 397. Bangladesh in reply, made a strong start with the openers – Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudul Hasan Joy – unbeaten as the hosts ended the day on 76 for 0, trailing by 321, on Monday (May 16) at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
