THEY CANT EVEN PLAY STRAIGHT BALLS FFS. IM DONE WATCHING THIS BULLSHIT …..

  2. The worse thing that happened prior to the WC was SL being qualified to play in this WC. It seems that Ireland should have been playing instead of SL in this WC. Its so pathetic to watch how our batsmen are playing. They are unable to face even spinners, bowling on a green deck.

As I said in my previous post, we must not put the blame totally on our players. The coaching staff who guides our players should also take the responsibility for this debacle. That includes the head coach Hathu, batting coaches Lewis & all Sri Lankan coaches like Thilan, Avishka, Roy etc & bowling coaches as well. None of our local batting coaches are capable of properly guiding our batters to perform well on fast, bouncy & green pitches. How can they coach our batsmen when they do not have a clue on how to bat on a seaming, bouncy & fast green top specially facing v.quick / tall bowlers operating at 142+kph speeds. There are many other issues required to be done to improve our cricket as well.

Therefore our sports minister should be involved ASAP and get the whole SLC system clean up by removing (1) the corrupted and incompetent SLC higher ups (Managers) (2) local coaches & (3) head coach. If this clean up operations are done soon, I can assure that our two expert, past cricketers like Kumar and Mahela will definitely join SLC and offer their fullest support to improve the standard of cricket in SL as both of them have the natural talent on playing, deep & thorough knowledge on all cricket issues with managerial skills as well and world wide reputation.

So Mr Harin lets act fast to bring back some joy to all of us.
