    Thank you Zimbabwe!

    You did what most of us wanted. Mathews is GREAT cricketer. No doubt about that. But, his captaincy is not strong enough to get our players to play for the country. They are playing to get exposure in order to get lucrative contracts from global T20 tournaments.

    In addition Mathews has the recurring injuries that prevents him from focusing fully during matches.

    I am very sorry to see him go as the captain. I hope he will be able to contribute to Sri lankan cicket for many years to come.

    I Wish him well and hope he will fix injuries for good.
