Didn’t see his name in the Super Provincial rosters? Is he still injured. Was hoping he played a few ODIs to see the potential. I know he is green and has almost no experience but I would take him to the WC and try our luck. At least there will be some mystery to him (even if its just the initial stages) and the guy can bat too. My 2 cents, we have tried Akila and Vendersey enough to know that they are not potent enough for the middle overs. I know they are the best we have but should they take a bowler’s spot in a WC squad? Trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is insanity right? I do see Sachithra back and he bowled well in his first game, if he is solid I would just take him. Also Jeevan (if he continues as well) and try to have folks who can bat until 9.

There is no better Left-Arm-Leggie to replace MalindaP.at present,We badly need 5 Wkt taking bowlers & 6 complete proven batters such as: Chandimal,Mathews,RoshenS,AselaG. that can win matches single handedly, Their stats speaks volumes of their ability. My advice to selectors is not to go for half-players for those that has no record to prove their consistency. Consistency is the key to win a tournament.
