The boys played well today. I thought we should have bat first but we were just not lucky today. Just 2 overs changed the momentum of the game for the Ausies and Mathews was unlucky.
Rather than complaining and demanding more change, which we obviously got. Let’s back this team here. Too much negativity with us. Even De Mel’s complaint is not what we want when we are trying to find self belief. It’s hard to be positive when we lose so much but it needs to start with us. I think this team can do it. We just need to tinker the batting a little and play a little optimistically and rotate the strike. Proud of how Dimuth, KJP and even Mendis played. Isuru Udana, man, what a find. Love if they can find away to bring him early in batting.
