1) Bowlers getting caught for illegal bowling actions in International level
2) Inability to get wickets consistently , Beginning of the innings and middle overs (Pace & Spin both)
3)Unable to deliver good death bowlings spells (Always leaking runs)
4)Fast bolwers breaking down from injuries constantly
5)Unable to capitalize good bowling starts & Spells (Letting other team to get off from the hook so cheaply )
6)Not playing the appropriate set of bowlers across formats consistently
7)Lack of ability to master conditions & Situations
Our two bowling coaches working with the current bunch of players for fare period, i think our bowlers not showing any significant progress in that time, Is it right thing to continue with them 👎👎 i have my doubts over that
yes, u are correct. I dont know why they r plaing erratic sandakan again and again? Is there no better spin bowler in Srilanka?
Who are the other options?
Should have saved Akila if coaches have identified these errors before , Best wicket taking Experience Leg spinner in the country Jeewan Mendis should be included, Isuru Udana should be included to white ball squards , Lahiru Kumara and Rajitha should have given more white ball matches, they have potential to become good white ball cricketers
We can blame the coaches but the reality is the coach cannot get wickets. The type of spinner (and batter) coming from the first class set up is really poor which is the main issue. You cannot have a poor first class system and miraculously except the output to perform at international level. Of course we know this and have known for years and said this was going to happen. But, the powers to be who are supposed to do something about this continue to loot and talk rubbish. It’s been a long way down with no end in sight I am afraid.
Stormy , some players playing under these coaches some time now , not showing progress is the worry
